    "message": "fix: skip a split only when a start center would get no points in `gmeans()`\n\nThe relative `1e-12` tolerance treated real spread as rounding error on data far from the origin, so clearly separated clusters were merged without a warning (e.g. nanosecond timestamps around `1.7e18` with groups 1 ms apart gave 1 cluster). `split_and_search()` now skips the split only when the initial assignment of `stats::kmeans()` would leave a start center without points, which also covers coinciding start centers.\n",
